Ghana's economy is mainly agricultural and the biggest cash crop is cocoa. The Ghanaian economy also comprises of Rice, coffee, cassava, corn, shea nuts, and bananas, which are exported for cash.
Ghana’s main mineral is gold, which is usually melted down and made into lovely jewelry worn by chiefs an the people of Ghana as a whole – the country also has diamonds, aluminum, manganese, and bauxite).
The flag of Ghana consists of red, gold and green horizontal strips with a five-pointed black star in the centre of the gold stripe.
Did you know that a lot of that Rita Marley, Bob Marley the late Reggae King’s wife lives in Ghana and has initiated several projects in her local community in Ghana and other parts of the country.
Owing to her enormous contribution to the development of Konkonnuru village in the Akwapem Mountains, Rita Marley has been made a queen mother with the stool name Nana Afua Adobea.
